Let’s Talk Coffee ☕️…it’s not what you’re thinking 🙃

This is going to be a doozy of a post so please bear with me.  I know a lot of you will think I’m nuts but that’s ok….I’ve been called worse 😝.  Healing holistically requires stepping out of the boundary of our comfort zone and doing things we might not ever image doing or even knew existed.

When I first found the Chris Beat Cancer: Heal With Nutrition & Natural Therapies protocol it prompted me to research other people who have healed themselves with similar treatments.  My research lead me to Dr. Max Gerson and the Gerson Therapy.  Dr. Gerson was a German born American physician who believed that disease was caused by built up toxins in the body.  He believed that eating a vegetarian diet along with fresh juices was key in treating and curing diseases….(sound familiar)?  In 1928 Gerson started using this method to treat his patients successfully.  After his passing, Dr. Gerson’s family wanted to carry on his great work and started the Gerson Therapy organization.  You can learn more about Dr. Gerson and the Gerson Therapy here https://gerson.org/ and here

https://maxgersonfoundation.org/

One of the therapies that Dr. Gerson had all of his patients do alongside the raw veggies and juice, was coffee enemas.  Yep, you read that right 💩…..you don’t drink the coffee, it goes down there 🤭.   Why in the world would anyone put coffee up their butt?  To detoxify the liver of course!!!

As the fresh juices and raw veggies begin rebuilding the body and encouraging toxins to be released from the cells into the bloodstream, a great deal of stress is placed upon the liver. The liver alone, especially in cancer patients, cannot deal with a sudden influx of toxins into the bloodstream. The coffee enemas increase liver filtering, greatly aiding the liver’s ability to remove toxins.

Since I am following a similar program to the Gerson Therapy and since I am on a lifesaving mission and willing to throw everything I can at my cancer I thought “hey, why not try this too 🤷🏼‍♀️.  At first, saying and thinking that was a lot easier than actually doing it.  I’ll admit, I was nervous to try it but….first things first, baby steps 👣.  I started by ordering the enema kit and the “Gerson approved” enema coffee.  While I was waiting for that stuff I kept researching enema benefits, I even spoke with a local colon cancer 10 year thriver who believes it was the enemas not just the raw juice/veggies that saved his life 🤗. So many people are doing this and reaping the amazing benefits.

So here’s the enema kit I got: it comes with everything you need to get started; bucket, tubing with clip, connector and the red catheter.

I ordered it from Midwest Health And Nutrition

This is the coffee I settled on: Cafe Mam - Therapy Roast

https://cafemam.com/

During my research I was told it could be any organic light or medium roast coffee but if I was going to do this than I wanted to be 100% confident about what I was putting up there 🤪. This coffee is a little pricy but I think my life is worth it.

So let’s get more into actually doing an enema 👏🏼

PREPARING THE ENEMA

Note: the coffee enema solution can be prepped hours before you do the enema.  Store in the fridge for up to 48 hours before it should be used.  You’ll need to heat it on the stove before you use it.

Ingredients and supplies needed for one enema:

• 3 rounded tablespoons of ground, organic, caffeinated coffee made from Arabica beans (never instant) again, I use the PureLife Light Roast

• 1 quart (or 1 liter) of distilled water (never tap water)..ALWAYS use DISTILLED!

• Stainless steel pot (not aluminum) with a cover.

Also glassware or ceramic/enamel, if you are positive there is no lead in the pan.

• Medium to large fine mesh stainless steel strainer

1. Put the coffee grounds and water in the pan.

2. Cover pot and bring the solution to a boil. (covering reduces the time to bring to a boil, you can skip the lid if you choose to)

3. Remove the cover and let boil for 5 minutes. (This releases the oils)

4. Cover pot, reduce the heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.

5. Let the solution cool to body temperature or just above.

6. Strain out the coffee grounds with a fine mesh stainless steel strainer.  You can strain into another container or into the bucket with the tubing connected and clip closed.  I strain into a 4 cup measuring cup to cool.

7. Some of the liquid will have boiled away.  Add enough distilled water to have 32 oz of liquid or about 1 liter

8. Use the coffee solution(including any silt) at body temperature (or slightly above) for the enema.

HOW TO DO THE ENEMA:

1. Always make sure the coffee is at body temperature or just above. (If you are using refrigerated solution, warm up in a pan on the stove.)

2. The bathtub is the best place to take the enema, but if you don’t have one, lie on the floor with towels underneath you.

3. Assemble the bucket with the tubing connected, clip closed and catheter on the end.

4. Put the 32 oz of coffee solution into the bucket.

5. Open the stopcock a bit to let the solution come out the end of the catheter just enough to make sure there is no air in the tube.

6. The enema bucket should be above you by no more than two feet, so the solution can  slowly go down the tube into your colon.

7. Lubricate the rubber tube with a bit of water, coffee,  or KY jelly (not  Vaseline as it will ruin the rubber and is a petroleum product) about two inches at the end of the tube.

8. Lie down in the tub, or on the floor, on your back and insert the tube into the rectum about an inch and then open the clip to allow the coffee to flow.  Insert the catheter 6 to 8 inches.  Yes, you read that right!  The red catheter’s are about 16 inches so 1/2 way is a good mark.

9. There is a little bump inside us a few inches into the colon, make sure the tube gently goes over that bump further into the colon.

10. You can let some solution in, then close tube for a bit, open again to eventually let it all in.

11. As the solution goes in, you can slowly turn over on your right side with your legs pulled up to your chest and stay in the position for the duration of the enema.

12. Once the solution is all in the colon (meaning the bucket or bag is empty), retain the solution for 12 to 15 minutes.

It takes approximately 4-5 minutes for the coffee to completely empty from the bucket to the colon.  Once it’s all in you need to hold the solution inside, while you remain laying on your right side, for 12-15 minutes.  This is a great time to meditate 🙏🏼. After the 12-15 minutes is up move to the toilet and expel the solution 😬…be patient, it takes several minutes so just relax!

This graphic will help explain why the red catheter needs to go in 6-8 inches and why you lay on your right side.

Dr Gerson said holding the solution for 12-15 minutes (not any longer) because in that time all the caffeine should have being absorbed through the portal vain into the liver.  The liver “dumps” toxins approximately every 3 minutes so 12-15 minutes is the max before the blood that was dumped starts circulating back in to the liver.

I’m doing one coffee enema day and have been for about 4-5 weeks.  I love them!  I was so scared at first but the euphoric feeling I get during and afterwards is incredible.  This feeling comes from the 4-5 times the blood circulates through the liver.  During this time the liver increases the glutathione production up to 700%….this is the most powerful antitoxin known to man!!!  How about that 🤯!!  But there are hundreds of benefits from doing coffee enemas, anything from pain management to permanent allergy relief, fibromyalgia pain management and Lyme disease symptom control….and so much more!

There is SO much more to these but this is a good starting point if you’re still with me 🤣 and a good breaking point of information so y’all can wrap your head around it this 😛

So that’s all for now!  Please don’t hesitate to ask me questions.  I’ll do my best to answer them honestly and openly…full disclosure.  Oh and coffee enemas were in the Merck Manual as a scientific practice for detoxifying and as a pain reliever, until it was taken out by the AMA in the 1970s 🤔🧐

I’ll close this post with a verse that God placed on my heart while I was typing this.

John 13:7 (NKJV)

Jesus speaking

“What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”

Until next time….keep joy in your mind and in your heart!

Much love and many blessings,

Ali

Ain’t Life Grand….living life on the right side of cancer 💕

Greetings from beautiful Wyoming! Hidden Falls - Jenny Lake / Grand Teton National Park  A quick update before I get into it - I moved all my blogs to a new platform and it’s so much better now (at least for me).  Please let me know your thoughts, I appreciate your feedback 🩷.  Ok, here we go!!  Some of you may be following along on our journey via facebook but for those of you who aren’t, here’s a quick update.   We kicked off our nomadic journey on March 11, 2025 (after living full-time in the RV since September 2024) and this has quite literally been the best thing we have ever done.    Keith and I keep asking each other why we didn’t do this sooner.    It all comes back to - it just wasn’t our time yet.    But here we are now and we are absolutely living our best life!  Workamping is a real thing - real companies do in fact hire people who live full-time in their RV for seasonal work.    We landed an awesome job ...

Merry Christmas!

Luke 2:11 (NKJV) For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord I have so much to be thankful for this year.  I give all of my love and glory to Jesus every day but especially today, on His birthday!  He poured His blessings over me this year, He was true and faithful and never abandoned me.  I was shown first hand that all of God’s promises truly are “Yes” and “Amen” (2 Corinthians 1:20) At the start of this year I was just finishing up the first 90 days of my holistic healing program.  I was determined to beat the cancer and I had it set in my heart to do it holistically.  With God’s strength and His grace I was motivated and determined to stay on course.  I was thankful to be over that first 90 day hurdle but I was still facing so much uncertainty. I kept myself centered and focused on the goal….I kept my mind on Christ and He showed me the way!  Every decision or change I made was done so with prayer and wit...

Grateful Nomads🫶🏼✌🏼

One year ago today I started the life saving journey that I never imagined I would be going on.  I made what some might consider crazy radical changes, but I did it because I wanted to live.  Now here we are, one year later, making more radical life changes.  Sometimes life brings in twists and turns that take us in a completely different direction.  It happened to Keith and I last year (with my cancer diagnosis) and it’s happening again with our latest adventures.  If you haven’t heard yet, we sold our house and basically everything in it.  We bought a new truck and a RV and we’re hitting the road, living full time in the RV.  We went from a 1600 sq ft house to a 32 ft travel trailer…talk about radical changes 😳🤣 2024 Grand Design Imagine - Our new home! Here are a few things I’ve learned so far over the past year and especially these past few months.  We don’t always see these twists and turns coming but they always cause us to leave behind on...
