My Journey So Far.......

If you’re reading this then someone has shared a bit about my cancer journey with you.  I love sharing this with anyone who is open minded to other ways of healing our bodies.  Society is so indoctrinated to conventional western medicine and often so afraid to look outside of that box.  I do believe there is a place for it but it doesn’t have to be the only way or even the first choice.

Here is a breakdown of my cancer diagnosis, the program I followed and the tests I’ve had done.

Surgery: 7/14/2023

Robot Assisted Sigmoid Colectomy

-7 inches of my colon was removed along with a tumor the size of a peach

-34 lymph nodes taken

-No ileostomy or colostomy bag

Diagnosis: 7/27/2023

Adenocarcinoma - Stage 3B Colon Cancer

-1 lymph node came back positive

Oncology treatment plan: 8/3/2023

FOLFOX 6 (fluorouracil (5FU) + leucovorin + oxaliplatin)

-12 treatments (every 2 weeks) -Each treatment would take approximately 3 hours and I would come home with a pump for 46 hours that was administered through my port catheter.

I went through 2 rounds of chemo before I decided it wasn’t the healing path I wanted to be on, first was 8/21/2023 second was 9/11/2023.

9/15/2023 my Keith found the holistic program that I follow called “Chris Beat Cancer” www.chrisbeatcancer.com which consists of:

-Whole Food Plant Based diet

-64 ounces of fresh juice a day (6 pounds of carrots

-Supplements

-Exercise

-Rest

9/22/2023 we told my oncologist that I didn’t want to do chemo anymore.  He agreed to stay with me and order blood work/scans

10/1/2023 I started the holistic plan, this is what it consists of:

-100% Whole Food/Plant Based foods (all organic)

-first 90 days was 100% RAW.

-I drank a  “morning green light” drink each morning

-64oz of juice (I bought a high-quality cold press juicer, the Nama J2) that I make each morning and drink throughout the day

-2 BIG salads.

My morning green light drink recipe:

-20oz of Jason Winters tea

-1/2 of a lemon squeezed

-1TBSP ACV

-Moringa Powder

-Alma Powder

-Cranberry Powder

-Spirulina Powder

-D-mannose Powder

These are all organic cancer fighting power houses

64oz of juice recipe (all organic):

-6 pounds of carrots

-2-3 whole beets

-5 granny smith apples

-2 lemons

-5-6 ribs of celery.

-1-2 knuckles of turmeric

-1-2 knuckles of ginger

-1-2 cloves of garlic.

-4-6 ounces of Aloe Vera Juice

I also added the supplements in the morning green light drink to my juice.

There are other recipes I rotated in after my 90 days

Why so many carrots?  Here is a great explanation! https://adventureswithjodi.com/is-there-anything-a-carrot-cant-do/

My 2 BIG salads a day consist of:

-Greens blend

-organic cruciferous veggie

- more veggies and fruit (whatever I had on hand)

-1-2 tablespoons of organic sauerkraut (an awesome probiotic)

-raw/organic sunflower seeds

-A blend of cancer fighting spices such as rosemary, oregano, tarragon, turmeric, black pepper, cayenne pepper (if I want to add some spice), garlic powder, onion powder, really any organic seasoning that I like.

As long as it was from a plant and raw I ate it!

Daily Supplements:

-Beta Glucan 500mg - 2 capsules 1x a day(in the morning)

-Curcumin Extra Strength - 1 1000mg capsule 2x a day (1 morning/1bedtime)

-IP6 Gold - 12-16 capsules throughout the day

-Black Seed Oil - 1 tsp 3x a day

-Vitamin D + K2 - 20,000 iu in the morning

-Quercetin- 500mg 2 capsule 3x a day

-Apricot Kernels - 20-30 kernels a day.

Lastly I started doing coffee enemas around the same time I started the Chris Beat Cancer program.  There is another holistic healing method called the Gerson Therapy, created by Dr. Max Gerson.  People who follow this therapy do 5 coffee enemas per day. I don’t have that kind of time but I strive to do 2 per day.  There is a lot of evidence out there that back up the liver detox benefits of coffee enemas especially for cancer patients.  I attribute a lot of my healing success to this step of daily protocol.  There is a reason it was in the Merck Manual once upon a time then removed in 1972.

Since starting this program I’ve done the following:

-Bloodwork - 9 times/all clear results

-Colonoscopy 4/29/2024

all clear (no polyps, no biopsy, no recurrence). GI doctor recommends follow up in 2 years.

- CT scan with and without contrast 5/6/2024

No evidence of metastasis

-Chest

-Abdomen

-Pelvis

Oncologist recommends another scan in 6 months.

On 5/20/2024 my oncologist moved me from active cancer status to remission.

I’m happy to share with you any of my test results if you are interested in reviewing them.  Please email me @aliluvslife@gmail.com

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like more details.

I absolutely know that all of this was possible because of God!  He is my Jehovah Rapha…my healer. I praise His name continuously ✝️šŸ™šŸ¼. Here is my post with more details about my walk with Christ.

I’d like to close this post out with a Bible verse that God put on my heart early in my journey and walk with Him.  I’ve meditated on these verses every day since.

Proverbs 3:5-8(NKJV)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones

Until next time…keep joy in your mind and in your heart!

Much love and many blessings,

Ali

Two Years Later: The Day Everything Changed — From Fear to Freedom

Yellowstone Lake May 2025   Two years later....my journey is my inspiration❣️ In the early hours of July 11, 2023—my 50th birthday—Keith took me to the ER. We didn’t know it then, but that day marked the beginning of a journey that would change everything. What we thought was a precautionary trip turned into a 10-day hospital stay, two emergency surgeries, and ultimately, the cancer diagnosis we never saw coming. It felt like the ground shifted beneath us—fast and without warning. That moment shook us to the core. But it also became the turning point. It led to one of the hardest and most personal decisions I’ve ever had to make: to decline chemotherapy. That choice didn’t come lightly—it came through tears, prayer, research, and a surrender I can’t quite explain. I opened my heart to God’s way of healing, and in doing so, found a peace that made no earthly sense but felt entirely divine. It’s hard to believe it’s been two years now since life threw us that curveball—a health scar...

From Blog to Book: Why I’m Sharing the Whole Story

For nearly two years, I’ve poured my heart into this blog—sharing pieces of my healing journey, my faith walk, and the unexpected turns that have shaped my life since being diagnosed with colon cancer. What started as a way to process and connect has grown into something much deeper: a calling to share the full story. So, I’m writing a book. This isn’t just a collection of blog posts. It’s a deeply personal, faith-rooted memoir that weaves together the physical, emotional, and spiritual layers of healing I’ve experienced. From chemo chairs to carrot juice, raw grief to relentless hope, the book will walk readers through the valleys and mountaintops of this path—from diagnosis to divine detours and everything in between. Why write a book? Because stories matter. Putting myself out there has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Every time I share a piece of my heart, I feel that familiar ache of vulnerability—like I’m standing open-handed before the world, unsure how my s...

Remission, Rough Roads and Sweet Reminders šŸ’«šŸ©·

Yesterday we officially hit the road again! We pulled out of Las Vegas, pointed the rig east, and started our journey toward Tennessee — our winter destination and new workamping adventure at Ober Mountain in Gatlinburg. Before leaving Vegas, we stopped to visit family and squeeze in a little medical maintenance. I had blood work and a doctor appointment, and by all accounts, I’m still in  remission ! šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ Of course, I still prefer the word  healed … but you know. šŸ˜‰ God is good —  all the time. We were also blessed to make it to church while we were there, and it was exactly what our hearts needed — a beautiful time to get refueled, refocused, and filled up before hitting the road again. šŸ•Š️ We left Las Vegas bright and early yesterday morning—our first stop: Winslow, Arizona. (No, unfortunately, we didn’t stand on the corner. šŸ˜‰) Let’s just say our “landing” into Winslow wasn’t exactly smooth… in fact, it was a rough landing — literally and figuratively. When we opened ...
