Remission, Rough Roads and Sweet Reminders 💫🩷

Yesterday we officially hit the road again! We pulled out of Las Vegas, pointed the rig east, and started our journey toward Tennessee — our winter destination and new workamping adventure at Ober Mountain in Gatlinburg. Before leaving Vegas, we stopped to visit family and squeeze in a little medical maintenance. I had blood work and a doctor appointment, and by all accounts, I’m still in  remission ! 🙌🏼 Of course, I still prefer the word  healed … but you know. 😉 God is good —  all the time. We were also blessed to make it to church while we were there, and it was exactly what our hearts needed — a beautiful time to get refueled, refocused, and filled up before hitting the road again. 🕊️ We left Las Vegas bright and early yesterday morning—our first stop: Winslow, Arizona. (No, unfortunately, we didn’t stand on the corner. 😉) Let’s just say our “landing” into Winslow wasn’t exactly smooth… in fact, it was a rough landing — literally and figuratively. When we opened ...

That’s a Wrap!

Our front yard for the past 6 months Today marked the end of our very first workamping season!!     We’ve had the incredible opportunity to call     Teton Cabins our home for the last 6 months.     What an unforgettable journey it’s been. When we pulled into Moran, WY on April 21st, we were two newbies stepping into a brand-new chapter — ready to learn, explore, and trust that God had placed us here for a reason. Looking back now, it’s incredible to see just how much this place has shaped us. As the months unfolded, so did countless blessings: breathtaking hikes beneath the Tetons, crisp mountain mornings, and friendships that quickly began to feel like family. “People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime”  The friendships we built are for life 💕 From the moment we arrived, the Grand Tetons surrounded us with beauty and peace that words can hardly capture. Every hike, every sunrise, every quiet evening reminded us that we were exac...

Living Fully Until We’re Home

“Well  done,  good and faithful servant”  Matthew 25:21  This morning I received the news that one of my dear Healing Strong group members has gone home to be with the Lord. At first, my heart sank. That familiar wave of sadness washed over me — the ache that comes when we lose someone who walked this same healing road beside us. But after a few thoughtful minutes — and a good conversation with Keith — my sadness turned into praise. Because the truth is, our friend Tom is finally whole again. No more pain. No more sickness. Just perfect peace in the presence of our Savior. Tom’s story was one of faith, courage, and surrender. After conventional medicine failed him, he turned wholeheartedly to God and sought healing through natural means — trusting that the same Creator who designed our bodies also provided the tools for restoration. His journey wasn’t easy, but it was deeply rooted in faith. He lived with a quiet strength and an unshakable belief that God had ...

Finding “Normal” Again

I spent some time with my coloring book today 🩷🙏🏼 Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what “normal” even means anymore. Life on the road — working, exploring new places, meeting new people — it’s a blessing, but it’s also a reminder that  normal  looks very different these days. It’s been over two years since I stepped fully into a holistic lifestyle and began trusting God to lead my healing. And now, living on the other side of cancer — NED    (no evidence of disease)— I find myself still learning what it means to live again. People talk a lot about  surviving  cancer… but not as much about what comes after. When you’re in the middle of the fight, every day has a purpose — juice the carrots, prep the meals, take the supplements, pray, rest, repeat. Your entire focus is on getting well, doing the next right thing, and trusting that somehow, God is going to pull you through. Then one day, He does. And suddenly, life is quiet. You hear those beau...
